The Yamoussoukro Golden Triangle project aims to build an integrated tourism complex around the iconic assets of Côte d'Ivoire's political capital. Main components: (1) Tourist infrastructure on 225 ha: shopping center, bungalows, villas, restaurants, pool/spa, conference rooms, theme park, casino/aquarium, racetrack/ice rink, presidential villa, 4-star hotel (150 rooms), 5-star hotel (200 rooms); (2) Development of Abokwamekro wildlife sanctuary: welcome center, paddock, chalet, restaurant, pool, playground, animal population restoration; (3) Tourist and landscape enhancement of Lake Kossou shores with road network. Targets: 1 million visitors/year, 11,000 direct jobs, 30,000 indirect jobs. Duration: 3 years.
